New Albany Middle School Soccer
Who is Eligible
The middle school recreational soccer league is open to children in grades 7-8. The teams are sponsored by the NAYSL and New Albany Parks and Recreation. This program is not a New Albany Middle School sponsored sport, rather the teams belong to the Middle School Soccer Association (MSSA) and compete against teams from across Central Ohio.
The MSSA is split into two divisions (Girls and Co-Rec). The Co-Rec league will include boys and co-ed teams because some communities do not have enough players for gender specific teams. In New Albany, teams are split by gender. Depending on enrollment numbers, children are also split by grade. Our teams will play a 9-10 game regular season against teams from Central Ohio. Home games and practices are held at Bevelhymer Park. Road games are played at parks in other communities. The season concludes with a two weekend tournament at random sites across Central Ohio.
