Over the past several years, most of the New Albany sports programs have gone through changes. This is also true for the baseball leagues in the New Albany area. New Albany Baseball Leagues
NEW ALBANY LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL
The words “Little League” have symbolized the very best in youth sports for more than six decades. 176,000 teams with 2.3 million youngsters in 102 countries play in the Little League program making it the worlds largest youth sport organization.
Little League has become over the years, a leadership program for both children and adults, with the aim of helping children to become good and decent citizens. Through the application of Little League Rules, Regulations and Policies, developed over decades of experiences, Little League has become a beacon throughout the world.
The New Albany Little League will provide a safe, fun, wholesome combination of recreation and competition to players ages 5-12 through regular season play among division teams.
For those players whose skills are more advanced, New Albany will enter teams in the Little League International Tournament. This is the largest sports tournament in the world, with more than 40,000 games played nationally at various tournament sites.
The Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania is the granddaddy of all youth sports world championships. It is televised nationally on ESPN and ABC. No other organized youth sport championship comes close.
